Natalia Vodianova by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
“We started doing art pictures before we started doing fashion and don’t really see much difference between the two. We start with a character. Sometimes that could be inspired by an art work or sometimes by a person. You choose the right person for that outfit or the right outfit for that person. It’s about seeing and understanding the message of what you want to photograph and how you want your imagination and your fantasy to be on a piece of paper”

Lily Cole and Giant Pearls (2004) by Tim Walker

You know it’s a Tim Walker photograph when you see it! Each photograph is like a dream or a fairytale, so beautiful I could stare at them for ever.
